Stiletto High Heels Defined
Lately, I have had many conversations with many women about high heel shoes. It struck me as odd that each of them seemed to have a different definition of what a “stiletto” high heel was, so I thought I would define it simply and accurately here.
According to About.com the term “stiletto” refers to a type of shoe heel that is pointy, thin and high. Also called “spike” or “spiked” heels.
High-heels come in a wide variety of styles, and the heels are found in many different shapes, including stiletto, pump, block, tapered, and wedge. Below are a few examples of the heel types listed above.
