Snow Shoes, My Stilettos
Living in Austin, Texas, one need not worry much about snow, or a “wintery mix.” However, New York City and other metropolitan cold cities house these conditions every year. I am in New York City today and I am encouraged by how many women still sport their sexy stilettos, even in the snow.
Out of pure curiosity, I stopped a woman on the street today and asked her if the snow is harmful to her heels (she was wearing tan and black woven checkered 4″ stilettos–nice!). She said that fresh snow does not harm her heels, other than getting them wet, however, next-day snow that is dark and muddy damages her heels by staining the toe area and heel. She also mentioned that she washes her fabric stilettos with warm dish soap, water and a toothbrush, but that they rarely look new again.
I introduced her to a pair of IdealHeels and she was elated! Of course, she was impressed by all of its functions–protection, accessorizing, concealing…etc, moreover, as the snow fell on our heavy winter coats, she was most excited about the possibility of the product keeping her heel clean as she walked through dingy snow.
I will be testing the theory this week and will let you know. In the meantime, I Heart NY!
