My first modeling experience was, no doubt, one of the most enjoyable and educational events of this summer. I woke up bright and early at 8:00 a.m. and jumped into the shower to wake myself up. Making sure my legs were nice and smooth and my toes were manicured, I quickly moisturized and got dressed for my day at IdealHeel. Upon my arrival, the team and I quickly headed to our first location, a wooden deck, for our photo shoot. In my 4-inch stilettos, I immediately realized how hard it was to walk on the deck without getting stuck between the wooden planks. As we were demonstrating this problem for our photo shoot, the only way I could protect my stilettos and keep my balance was to hold onto on to the set director for dear life! Once our photographer took all the pictures he needed, I was handed a pair of IdealHeels to wear for the next set of photos. I cannot even begin to explain the immediate relief I felt with them on. I felt sturdy and could walk on the deck without having to avoid every little crack and crevice. It made me realize how necessary and beneficial IdealHeels could be for professional models during their photo shoots. The next three locations followed the same format. Farrah Fawcett captivated the world with her vivacious spirit and all-American beauty. Born on February 2, 1947 in Corpus Christi, Texas, Fawcett dreamed of becoming a world-renown actress. Shortly after graduating from the University of Texas at Austin, she began her path to stardom as a model in several commercials, including Ultra-Brite toothpaste, Wella Balsam shampoo and Noxema shaving cream. Her first TV role was in I Dream of Jeannie in 1969, which later led to small roles in The Flying Nun, Mayberry RFD, and Six Million Dollar Man. However, it wasn’t until 1976 that she landed her breakout role as Jill Monroe on Charlie’s Angels. It did not take long after the show aired for Fawcett to become a sensation. Her feather-blown hairstyle was soon seen on virtually every adolescent teenage girl and her infamous red swimsuit poster was plastered on the walls of every teenage boy, selling over 12 million copies.

Although Farrah Fawcett lost her battle with cancer, we will remember her as an icon that forever changed Hollywood. Her talent and beauty will never be forgotten. I would like to take this time to look back and pay tribute to her inspirational career as America’s bombshell beauty.
