IdealHeel Lands Multi-Store Distribution Deal with Upscale Texas Retailer

Julian Gold to Carry IdealHeel in Austin, San Antonio, Midland & Corpus Christi

Austin, Texas – January 27, 2010 – Fashion conscious, high heel wearing women across the state of Texas are finding it much easier to protect their precious pumps from gouges, scuffs, stains and tears thanks to a new distribution agreement between renowned Texas high-end retailer, Julian Gold, and Fiumicino Inc., the Austin-based company that designs, manufactures and distributes the revolutionary high heel footwear accessory, IdealHeel.

Fiumicino, Inc. launched the IdealHeel footwear accessory line in the spring of 2009, making it an instant favorite among fashion-minded women looking for innovative ways to save money on high heel shoe repairs and companies looking to expand and diversify their footwear accessory offerings. “IdealHeel is extremely proud be in the company of some of the best and well-known shoe brands in the industry such as Salvatore Ferragamo, Sesto Meucci, Taryn Rose, Tory Burch, Valentino and Via Spiga – just a few of the fabulous brands carried in Julian Gold shoe departments,” says Michelle Patterson, President of Fiumicino, Inc. “For a new footwear accessory line, this alignment will not only help create brand awareness for IdealHeel in the high-end retail arena, but it also gives Julian Gold clientele the opportunity to purchase a one-of-a-kind product that protects their upscale high heel shoes like never before.”

IdealHeel, a temporary high heel shoe guard, is designed to slip easily and snugly over an existing pump or stiletto heel to protect both the heel shaft and the heel cap from damage caused by everyday use, as well as from rugged urban obstacles such as city grates, cracked sidewalks, grass lawns and cobblestone.  IdealHeel’s patented technology prevents costly scrapes, scuffs, gouges, tears and stains, and prevents heels from sinking in grass. IdealHeel’s discrete protection allows women to commute with confidence and arrive to a destination with heels in mint condition.

High Heel Protectors Make Footwear Funerals a Thing of the Past

A year ago, we released this 40 second PSA highlighting a woman’s relationship with her shoes.  We received so much feedback from women all of the world, we decided it to post it again on our blog.

Did you know that approximately 62 million pairs of shoes are serviced or repaired each year and women generate 60% of total revenues for shoe repair businesses.  (Shoe Service Institute of America) Repairs to the heel are the most common type of repair.

Walking in high heel shoes is difficult, however walking over everyday, problematic surfaces such as city street grates, cracked sidewalks, wood decks, grass lawns and cobblestone is nearly impossible and quite costly without IdealHeel.

Women are constantly getting wedged in cobblestone streets on their way to work, they are sinking in grass at outdoor weddings and they are ruining their shoes along the way, or paying a pretty penny to repair them–if they can be repaired at all!

Before IdealHeel, women had two choices when wearing high heels–”Wear and Despair” or “Wear and Repair.” Both choices are emotionally and financially draining.  Women who wear IdealHeel neither Despair or Repair, rather, their favorite shoes last much longer and they have more money to buy new shoes. It’s that simple.
